When is the right time for euthanasia? If your pet's health has reached the stage where euthanasia is the best option, waiting can often lead to unnecessary suffering on their part. A discussion with our Vets will give you the help and advice you need to make a decision. Our quality of life assessment (view here) is designed to give you all the information you need to know about your pet's health and any pain that they might be feeling.
-
How does your euthanasia process work? Some of our clients prefer not to know the details of what is involved, but if you feel you need to know please consult our ‘What To Expect’ page here.
-
What is involved during a visit? Our vets will first provide your pet with a gentle sedation. The sedation works gradually and so mimics drifting off to sleep. Click here to find out more about your visit.
-
Does euthanasia hurt my pet?No. Your pet will go to sleep and lose consciousness very quickly and won't be able to feel any pain whatsoever after this point. The tiny prick of the injection is all that they will feel.
-
What areas do you cover?Working within Devon and Cornwall, we try to accommodate as many patients as possible so we may be able to consider locations outside of the coverage area shown below on a case by case basis.
-
What is your aftercare process? We know how important it is to have the reassurance that your pet is handled with the utmost care and respect following your visit. Learn more about our chosen pet crematorium and cemetery here.
